What is DIALux used for?
DIALux evo enables the design, calculation and visualisation of indoor, outdoor, road and emergency lighting. Potentiel Énergie does not replace the engineering consultancy's photometric calculations: our role is to facilitate selection, documentation and access to the data needed for a reliable study.
Always start with the official download
The software evolves regularly. To avoid outdated or modified executables, Potentiel Énergie links to the official DIALux page rather than hosting a copy of the installer. Check the version number and prerequisites on DIAL's website before installation.
Working with reliable product data
A lighting study is usable only if the luminaire used matches the variant actually specified. IES, LDT and other photometric data must be associated with the correct reference, luminous flux, optics and control system.
DIALux in the Potentiel ecosystem
The future Potentiel engineering workflow should enable users to select a validated reference, download its photometric files and technical documentation, then continue the calculation in DIALux. The designer remains responsible for the calculation result.
