Free professional tool · Engineering consultants and installers
Write an LED lighting specification using the right criteria.
Start from your requirements or a reference in our ranges. Compare documented criteria, choose an actual product and export its specification with sources and outstanding checks.

Choose an actual reference, then write its technical specification.
Enter the requirements relevant to your project. The text remains a draft for approval by the engineering consultant, with no invented product references or automated interpretation of standards.
Processing and export take place on your device: no file is sent to the server.

Draft — review and complete
Why define requirements independently of a commercial reference?
A useful specification defines verifiable requirements: visual ambience, target illuminance, layout, environment, controls and maintenance. Arbitrary luminous flux, power or beam angle requirements can exclude a suitable solution. Tolerances, compliance limits and applicable standards must be defined and approved for the project.
Which supporting documents should you request from the supplier?
The datasheet and IES/LDT files must match the selected luminaire variant. The engineering consultant checks uniformity, glare and layout, then approves the final clauses before including them in a tender.
This tool writes specifications for the documented references you select. It distinguishes project requirements, evidenced characteristics and missing information; it does not issue a certificate of compliance.
