Objectives
By the end of this lesson.
- Turn project requirements into verifiable technical criteria.
- Analyse a substitution criterion by criterion, distinguishing compliant, non-compliant and unknown.
Specify verifiable requirements
A useful specification clause distinguishes essential criteria, minimum performance, options and supporting documents. It avoids ambiguous terms and characteristics that cannot be verified.
Compare criterion by criterion
A meaningful equivalence assessment is never limited to power or luminous flux. Dimensions, optics, photometry, IP/IK, controls, service life, colour quality, warranty and compatibility may be decisive.
Identify what is unknown
When data is missing, the correct conclusion is “not verified”, not “compliant”. The future Potentiel engine will retain this abstention logic to protect the engineering consultant and the credibility of the analysis.
Document the technical approval
A VISA approval decision must remain linked to the submitted version, comments and documentary evidence. The V1/V2/V3 comparison must show what actually changed.
